Railroad Daze set to steam back into RR July 18-20th

Mark your calendars Rainy River District - Railroad Daze is taking place July 18, 19, 20th. Planning is well underway and we are excited with the prospects of rejuvenating some past successful events as well as introducing some new activities to take part in.
The Rainy River Recreation Board is once again a huge contributor to Railroad Daze. A Railroad Daze Committee is in the process of being formed to work closely with the Recreation Board to make this year’s events and activities full of fun, excitement and an overall success.
Some of the newer/rejuvenated events that you may see happening are:
-Model train display (2 organi-zations coming from Wpg)
-Scavenger hunt
-Guitar hero competition (finals)- more information to follow
-Ball hockey tournament
-Family fun evening- carnival/dance
-Featuring a new band for the Saturday night social
-Horseback rides
-Riverboat tours
-Luncheon by the Rainy River Roman Catholic Church
-Flea Market/ Craft and Bake Sale
Of course you will see the regular events like:
-Baseball tournament
-Saturday children’s activities
-Interdenominational church service
-Sunday afternoon music festival
-Seniors luncheon
-Card board boat races
-Smear Tournament
-Parade
-Beer gardens
-Canteen
-Food vendors
