Hospital Auxiliary to participate in the Trade Show

Nineteen members were at our regular meeting for April. After the reading of the minutes, we discussed business arising from them.
The picuture board we hope to put up mentioning long term residents 100 years or more; This is still a go but must go through the proper channels.
We will have a display table at the conference in Fort Frances. Several of our members will be attending this.
Gift bags to give to patients who come to emergency, have to be sent out. etc. and have no toiletries with. The bags include, combs, tooth paste, slippers, razors etc.
Correspondence were letters from Riverside Foundaton advising us the “Old Bags Lunch” to be held at the Fort on April 19th, The Chem Free Grad Party for our local Graduates, and the Chamber of Commerce Trade Show to be held at the Rainy River Rec Centre on April 26. We will donate $50 to the Chem. Free Party and also particpate in the Trade Show.
In New Business; We are looking at purchasing a new candy macnine, as the onld one is too expensive to repair, and there seems to be a demand for it.
We will do Meals on Wheels for the Month of May, May 5 - 9 Irene Hanson and Nancy Hanson, 12 - 16 Betty Blight and Lena Beurkert, 19 - 23 Larry and Myrna Armstrong, 26-30 Shirley and Angie Armstrong.
The Strawberry Social was our main topic. It will be at the Legion, May 21, from 2 to 4 p.m. There will be a raffle (1st draw a Gazzebo, 2nd $50 Gift Certificate at the R.R. Drugs) tea tables, plant table and Penny table, etc.
Regarding the Penny Table, due to new lotterylicence regulations we must now have the name of the item and its value listed in advance, before we have our bazaar.
