Peacefully on Friday May 30, 2008 at the Riverside Health Care Facility, Rainy River, Ont with her family by her side, Rena Caouette passed away at the age of 75.
Rena was born in Blue Twp, Ont on March 2, 1933 to the late Joseph and Elizabeth Selman. She married Tony Caouette on November 4, 1954 and settled in Rainy River; Ont. Rena worked for several years for Arctic Cat in Rainy River, Ont and Bill Zup’s Camp in Lac La Croix, Ont. She was a valued member of the Rainy River Evangelical Covenant Church.
She will be lovingly remembered by children Henry (Colleen) Caouette of Atikokan, Ont, Geraldine (Irving) Blight, Debbie Plumridge, Randy (Bonnie) Caouette all of Rainy River, Ont and Rosemarie Landry (Renaldo Zen) of Atikokan, Ont.
Rena will be sadly missed by her 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Also survived by brother Martin (Lorna) Selman, and Lillian Ogier. Rena was predeceased by her husband Tony in 1994, son-in-law Bob Plumridge, sisters Viola (Bill) Seltzer, Verna (Chuck) Race, brother George (Roxie) Selman, Mamie (Adolph) Klaus, sisters Olive (Ken) Anderson, Belle (Fred) Masker and brother in law Nick Ogier.
Funeral Service was held at the Rainy River Evangelical Covenant Church, on Monday, June 2, 2008 at 2 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to service. Pastor Mark Mast officiating. Pall Bearers were Jamie Caouette, Anthony Caouette, Tim Caouette, David Gouliquer, Carl Peters, and Paul Peters.
Interment in Blue Cemetery, Dawson Twp, Ont.
