Sharon Olson, 70

Sharon Olson, age 70, of Badger, MN died early Wednesday morning, August 13, 2008 in the Warroad Care Center at Warroad, MN.
Sharon was born Sharon Roberta Morrison on December 17, 1937 in Rainy River, Ontario, Canada to parents Gordon and Helen (Henderson) Morrison. She lived and attended school in Rainy River. After schooling she met Vernon “Nimi” Olson of Baudette and they were later married at Norfolk, Virginia where Nimi was stationed in the U.S. Navy. They moved to Badger, MN in 1969 where she lived since. Vernon Olson died on February 17, 1976.
Sharon is survived by 6 children:--Kevin, Wade, Wendy & Kelli Olson, all of Badger. Jane (Donald) Monsrud of Ham Lake, MN, and Jodi (Greg) Lapatka of Cook, MN. 8 Grand-children —Steven & Derrick Monsrud, Kierstin, Marissa & Emily Lapatka, Vladimere Olson, Darian & Kia Jacobson. One great-granddaughter—Amber Monsrud. One sister—Marlene (Bill) Terhune of Calgary, Alberta.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, husbands parents, their grandparents, a half-sister—Betty Ann (Pete) Boucher.
Sharon was a very happy person and enjoyed being with her children, grandchildren and her many friends. She enjoyed Bingo, gardening, cooking and going to the lake, camping and fishing.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, August 16, in Gieseke Funeral Chapel of Greenbush with Pastor Larry Severson, officiating. A gathering of family and friends was held at the Badger VFW Post Home also on Saturday. (Gieseke Funeral Chapel, Greenbush, MN).
