It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend Gerald (Gerry) Edward Olson on Friday, October 3, 2008 at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 64.
Gerry was born in Emo, Ont on July 5, 1944, he was a dedicated father and grandfather. Left to mourn are his daughters Debby Olson of Bergland, Ont, Melanie Olson of Victoria B.C., Heather ( Jason) Schram of Stratton, Ont, brother Henry (Stella) Olson of Winnipeg, MB, Sister in-law Netty Olson-Gourlie, grandchildren Aurora Olson, Andrea, Brett , Danielle, Romeo and Jethro Schram, nieces Susan Olson, Lisa (J.P.) Condon, and Felicia (Tim) Mc Callum.
Gerry was predeceased by his son Allan Edward Olson, parents Bertil and Lillian Mae Olson, brother Philip Olson, and infant sister Gladys.
A memorial service will be held at the Bergland Hall, Bergland Ont, on Friday October 10, 2008 at 2 p.m. with Lay pastor Carolyn Kreger officiating. Interment will take place in Bergland Cemetery.
Pall Bearers will be Ben Lindal, Jonny Anderson, Melvin Kallstrom, and Nelson Brown. Honourary Pall Bearers will be Kenneth (Buddy) Larson, Ronny Olson, Joyce House, Philip Schram, Murray Jewett, and all of his grandchildren.
