May God meet all your needs

In recent days, we have all been impacted by the grim news that the economy of the world is “spiraling out of control.” Those who profit from “doom and gloom” propaganda have surely had a “hey day” with this turn of events. My question to each of you is: “In who do you trust?” Notice that I did not say: “In what do you trust?” Tragically, many people have fallen prey to the notion that life consists of the abundance of wealth and material possessions that can be had. Yet, Jesus spoke very plainly when He said, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions” (Luke 12:15).
We would all be so much better off if we looked at the troubled economic time we are facing from God’s perspective.
In Matthew 6:24-34 Jesus said the following: “No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money. Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
I challenge each of you to “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you” (1Peter 5:7). Trust in the Lord first of all for salvation. Repent of you sins and invite Jesus Christ to cleanse you with His precious blood. Ask Him to save you and make you a child of God. John 1:12 says, “Yet to all who received Him (Jesus), to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.”
Once you have done this, allow the Lord to be sovereign in your life. Claim the promise found in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
In these troubling times, be rest assured that God has everything under control. Trust me... No, “Trust HIM!”
“And my God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19).
