Christine "Maaziin" Jack, 77

February 14, 1931 – November 5, 2008
At the age of 77 years old Christine “Maaziin” Jack peacefully passed away at the Rainy River Hospital on Wednesday, November 5, 2008.
Christina “Maaziin” resided on the Big Grassy River First Nation, Morson, ON. She was born in Kenora, Ontario on Valentines Day in 1931 to the late Thomas and Mary Adams. She had a heart of gold and displayed great strength in character. Many people who knew her loved her sense of humour and kind heart.
She will be sadly missed by her children Roberta Jack, Marianne Big George, Christine Jack, Kathy Jack, Stanley Jack Sr., Thomas Jack, and Bradley Jack, many grandchildren and great grandchildren and her sisters Lila Andy and Anne Rodegard, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband William Jack, son Robert Jack, grandson Robert Douglas Jack parents Thomas Adams and Mary Major, brother Martin Adams and sisters Laura Comegan, Alice Redsky and Marie Kirkrude.
A traditional funeral service was held on Sunday, November 9, 2008 in the morning at the Big Grassy River First Nation Community Hall.
Elder Isaac Mandamin officiated followed by interment in the Big Grassy River First Nation Cemetery.
A funeral wake was held on Saturday, November 8, 2008 at the Big Grassy River First Nation Community Hall.
The pallbearers were Lenny Gibbins Jr., Carl Big George Jr., Stanley Wenell-Jack Jr., Brendan Big George, Byron Horton and Mylen Major.
