Hospital Aux. donates $1,000

Thirteen members came on a cold windy day to our January meeting. Since there was no meeting in December (we had a luncheon at Mom's restaurant instead) this report covers both December and January. We opened with our auxiliary prayer, Pres. Myrna Armstrong welcomed our new member Darlene Armstrong and wished all a Happy New Year. Then we settled down to the business at hand.
The electric examining table, purchased by the auxiliary to be used in the clinic is on order, and should he here soon.
In a letter from Riverside Foundation, re a fund raising programme for a century sit bath system, to be used in Rainycrest, it was decided we give $1000 dollars towards it. The $15,000 we pledged towards the Physio equipment for our on going project in the Wellness programme at the hospital has been given. Equipment is now on order.
A letter from the Chamber of Commerce was read re the lack of medical service in this area, and it was decided by all to support the chamber in their efforts to rectify this.
Also a letter from H.A.A.O. President, wishing us a happy New Year, outlining some of the events that will be coming.
The financial statements were given and special committee reports as well,
We are in need of new officers this year, a president, first vice president, and someone to represent us on the Board of directors from the Auxiliary.
Our next meeting is February 2, at the hospital, at 1:30. See you all there. New members are welcome.
