New officers installed

The local branch of the Legion Ladies Auxiliary held their annual meeting on January 14th, 2009, with President Valerie Nelson presiding.
Minutes of the December meeting were read and accounts presented and payment was approved. Treasurer Donna Ivall read her report on the Auxiliary's finances. Correspondence was read and dealt with as required. A letter was received from the Canadian Legion Sports Foundation for young people requesting a donation. A motion to donate $200.00 to this organization was approved.
Verna gave her report on visiting members who were ill. Beaty reported the totals for the December meat draws, and also for the Christmas Hamper.
The installation of Officers for the 2009 year took place with Peggy Livingston conducting. Anyone wishing to reserve the services of the Legion Ladies Auxiliary for catering any event etc., are asked to please contact Beaty Nault at 852-3265.
