Plenty of winter activity at the Rec. Centre

The Rainy River Recreation Board is thrilled about the opportunity that it is able to provide to you this winter.
The board has received funding from the Substance Abuse Prevention Team to take a Community Ski and Snowboard Adventure to Giant’s Ridge in Biwabik, MN. This Adventure is open to everyone in the community. Call Meghan Shanks (852-4446) for more details on this amazing opportunity.
The Board also has a Winter Active strategy going on for anyone who wants to get out and get active this winter. There are programs available from Monday to Friday until March Break. Some of these programs include badminton, shinny, skating and much more! For details look in the Community Calendar or the Healthy Communities Coalition newsletter mailed out to everyone in town.
There is a new statutory holiday happening this year Family Day! The Rec. Centre is having our 1st annual 5km Shiver on the River Run it will be held Family Day morning for details call Meghan. Thre will also be activities in the afternoon for families to come and participate in.
The Board hopes to see you out at some activities this winter!
