Alzheimer dinner raises over $3,200

The Linda Johnston Memorial Alzheimer fundraiser dinner did just that two weekends ago!
Exec. Dir. Margaret Schonewille was very excited that the event again raised more than the previous year. In total $3,234 was raised, about $700 more than last year!
The dinner itself raised approx. $1,400, penny table $814 and the Chairs for Charity $640.
There were also five larger items raffled off to raise money for the Linda Johnston Alzheimer Scholarship presented at RRHS every June. Those items raised almost $400; enough to keep the scholarship going for a number of more years.
The next event for the Alzheimer Society in Rainy River will be the Walk for Memories on May 23rd at the Legion.
All monies raised at these two functions are used locally.
