Hosp. Aux. gears up for Valentine's parties

Ten members were out for our regular meeting, Feb 2 and it was good to see you all.
We opened with our prayer, followed by Jessie reading the minutes of the last meeting. It was reported in Business arising from the minutes, that the electric examining table we purchased for the clinic is installed and being used and all are very pleased with it.
There was no correspondence, so we continued into new business, the only item here being two Valentine parties, one at the station on Feb 11, the other at the hospital for the long term residents in the activity room on Feb 13. There will be desserts and entertainment at both places.
We briefly discussed the Strawberry Social, but the date for this is not definite at this point; either May 13 or 20th were suggested. The main raffle will be a large Bird feeder, made and donated by Arend Wielinga, with a second draw for a Stone Garden Goose donated by John & Irene Ploegman, both from Emo. These are very much appreciated by the Auxiliary.
We concluded with Brig giving the financial report and special committees giving their reports.
The next meeting is on March 2 at the hospital at 1:30.
