Our turn to do Meals on Wheels

The Legion Ladies Auxiliary held their monthly meeting on March 11th, 2009, with President Valerie Nelson presiding. Minutes of the February meeting were read and accounts approved for payment. Treasurer Donna Ivall read her report on the Auxiliary's finances.
Correspondence was read and dealt with.
A letter was received from the Legion Athletic Camp in Manitoba. They are requesting volunteers to chaperone the different youth sporting activities at the camp this summer. Anyone wishing to volunteer for this event can contact the local Legion.
A thank you letter was received from the Riverside Health Foundation in regards to the gift of money made in the memory of Philip Bourre. A thank you card was read from Evelyn Bourre regarding the serving of the funeral lunch.
A discussion took place about the trip to Ear Falls on April 3rd for the District meeting. The Auxiliary will be doing Meals on Wheels for the month of April.
The Legion Auxiliary would like to remind everyone of the Supper to be held at the Legion hall on March 28th at 5 p.m. Lasagna, Ceaser Salad and garlic toast will be served at $10.00 per plate. Our next meeting will be held on April 8th at 7 p.m.
