Dr. Andrej Novovesky, 78

Peacefully on Sunday, March 22, 2009 at the Rainy River Health Centre, Dr. Andrej Novovesky of Rainy River passed away at the age of 78.
Andrej was born on September 13, 1930 in Bardejov, Slovakia. He immigrated to Canada in 1968.
Together with his wife Maria they operated a dental clinic in Rainy River for many years until his retirement in 1987.
Andrej was a valued member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church and a life member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife Maria, his sister Magda Suchy, sister in law Blazena Novovesky and three nephews and one niece. Andrej was predeceased by his brother Dr. Nicholas Novovesky and brother in law Joseph Suchy.
Family and friends were received at the Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Rainy River on Wednesday March 25, 2009 from 7-9 pm were parish prayers were offered at 7 :30 p.m. Funeral Mass was held at the church on Thursday March 26, 2009 at 10:30 a.m with Father Dan Debano Celebrant. Interment will take place at a later date. Honourary Bearers were the Knights of Columbus.
