Hospital Aux. to 'rock' around the clock!

Twenty eight members were present for our April Luncheon meeting. This was one of our best turnouts ever. We met at the C.N. Hotel and were served an absolutely delicious lunch by Patti, Nicole and Val "Thank you girls, we all enjoyed it."
Next on the agenda, before our regular meeting we had the installation of Officers. Past President, Laureen Hannam did the honors. Our new slate of officers are President Myrna Armstrong, 1st Vice, Joyce Penner; 2nd Vice, Pat Acree; Secretary, Carolee Hogue; Treasurer, Brigette McGreevy. They were welcomed by all. Also a minute of silence was had in remembrance of our deceased members.
Our regular meeting followed. The reading of the minutes and financial statement were accepted as read. The special committees all gave their reports. We will again be giving a $400 bursary to a student who is entering into any one of the medical fields. Applications must be in by May 30th.
The H.A.A.O. Spring Conference will be held at Dryden this year, and several of our members will be going to it, hoping to bring home some new ideas and useful information.
Finally, we are sponsoring a booth at the R. R trade show, so if you see us in rocking chairs, (No we are not going off our rockers) we are doing an Auxiliary rock-a-thon for quality health care in our hospital. The aim is to raise money towards projects we are working on, so please be generous. Pledges will be taken, anything over $10 will get you a receipt. These can be made either at the hospital or at our trade show booth.
We are also in need of new members, welcoming any one who might be interested in what we do. Stop at our booth, see what we have accomplished, and become a member. Membership will be available there or come to our next meeting. It is on May 4th at 1:30 p.m. at the hospital.
