Spring is shot

Even though people are fed up with the cold wet spring we have been having I find it surprising that many still have held onto some faint hope that it will get better soon.
Few of the people I have spoken to about the weather have realized that spring is pretty much shot.
Many of them say, "Things are only two or three weeks behind."
Well in less than three weeks spring is over and summer begins.
I think we have pretty much missed spring for this year.
I hope all the optmism people have for it to get better translates into reality and we get a better summer.
