The annual Rainy River Hospital Auxiliary Tea and Bazaar will be served up on December 1st this year from 2 to 4 p.m.
Aux. President Buddy Hannam said that on average they raise about $4,000 all of which goes towards meeting the needs of the Rainy River hospital that are not met by normal channels. In recent years they furnished the new hospital’s quiet room, purchased the gazebo and its furniture, stone benches and planters for the courtyard, a geriatric chair, a piano, a digital camera and donated money for supplies need in various hospital departments.
The Christmas Tea and Bazaar depends heavily on the support of both auxiliary members and the public both from the side of donating things to be sold and participating in the tea.
Hannam said that people can donate items to be raffled off on the penny table, baked goods to be sold or items for the white elephant table. To do so they can call her at 852-3573 or the hospital at 852-3232.
Everyone else is asked to mark December 1st on their calendar and plan to come out and have some pie and tea (or coffee) that day.
