William H. “Bill” Morrison, 86
Bill passed away on July 10th in his home town of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Bill was born in Rainy River on June 27, 1923 the only child of William H. Morrison and Bertha [nee Tilson] Morrison. His father had come to Canada from Scotland and Bertha was raised in Pinewood. After graduating from Rainy River High School he served in the Royal Canadian Airforce during WWII and later graduated from the University of Manitoba. Bill’s career was in retail sales. After his father’s death he and his Mother moved to Minneapolis in the early 1950’s where his sales career continued. Bill was preceeded in death by his mother and second wife - Audrey Halverson. Bill is survived by his daughter - Barbara [Morrison] Cannon [Des Moines, Iowa] and son Robert Bruce Morrison [Greenville, South Carolina], three grandsons and one granddaughter. He is also survived by three step-daughters, Leslie Stanton (Farmington, MN), Lynn Nyen (Steamboat Springs, CO) & Laurie Jacques (Apple Valley, MN) four step-grandsons, three step-granddaughters and nine step-great grandchildren.
Masonic services were held on July 15th in Minneapolis with interment following at St. Micheal’s Cemetary in Farmington, Minnesota.
