Gerald (Gerry) Marr
April 25, 1926 - July 22, 2009

Died peacefully, from heart related complications, on July 22, 2009 in Victoria, at the age of 83. He is survived by his loving wife, Clara; his son Dennis, daughter-in-law Sharon and two grandchildren Michael and Sarah; also his extended family in Ontario.
Gerry was born in Stratton and lived the first 63 years of his life in and around Rainy River. Upon retiring from the CNR as a Locomotive Engineer, he and Clara moved to Victoria to be closer to his son and family.
Rainy River was always in his thoughts. He constantly referred to his friends and time spent there. However, he also developed a number of good friends in Victoria, with whom he enjoyed walking trips, salmon fishing and general neighbourhood chit chats. He became an avid gardener and was always trying to see what plants he could get to grow in his garden.
A funeral service was conducted in Victoria on July 29. His ashes will be placed in a family plot in Calgary.
