The Morson W.I. met at the Community Centre for our annual Christmas meeting.
Lunch, hosted by Laurie and Patsy was attended by nine members and three visitors. The minutes of our October meeting and treasurers report were approved with minor corrections. Bills for quilt material, cards and gifts were approved for payment.
Old business included finalizing plans for the Xmas party. Patsy will be responsible for purchasing the meat, and Carol Pratt will arrange for candy, nuts and oranges for goodie bags.
The Emo museum will be holding their tea and bazaar on Sat. Dec 7th at the museum. All W.I. clubs are asked to donate to this by providing items for the penny table, bazaar, or baked goods. It was agreed to send a cheque for $25.00 to the museum towards the rising cost of maintaining the building. A request for pies to the Hospital Auxiliary for December 1st was received. Any wishing to donate will deliver their pies to the Legion in Rainy by 1 p.m.
The Morson W.I. will make a donation to the Luthern Church in Bergland. Motion was made and passed to give financial aid to a resident of the community. With business completed, a Christmas gift exchange of members present was enjoyed.
