Edity Alice Tarling, 71

Edith Alice Tarling, (nee Peters) age 71 passed away peacefully into the presence of her Lord, on Sunday, February 15, 2009 in her 72nd year, after a short but valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. Edith was the only daughter born to Walter and Winnifred Peters. She leaves behind her loving husband Peter of Mactier, ON., dear son Derek (Terry) of Sylvan Lake, AB., cherished daughter Denise (Jeff Mckay) of Meadford, ON., and her much loved grandchildren - Nathan, Trent, Spencer, Summer, Aleah and newest grandson Parker, whose arrival after her passing has been a real blessing.
She is also survived by her four brothers - Gordon (Cathy) of Emo, Willard (Enid) Peters of Rainy River, Phillip (Rosella) of Red Deer, AB., and Alvin (Leslie) of Winnipeg, and their families. Edith was born on Rainy River and lived her life to the fullest, with many friends both close to home and around the world. She lived by the motto 'only one life will soon be past, only what's done for Christ will last'.
A graveside memorial service will be held Monday, August 31. 2009 at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Rainy River, Ontario at 2:00 p.m.
