RRHS Curlers kick butt in Fort Frances!

In addition the the traditional basketball and volleyball teams at RRHS, there is a winter curling team.
The boys curling team has five players: Trevor Bonot, Jason Seguin, Kevin Nordberg, Matt McQuaker, and Chris Armstrong.
The Girls team has four players: Heather McLean, Heidi Heyens, Giselle Bonot, and Keisha Brigham. The coach of both teams is teacher Laura Armistead.
The curling teams travel away from home once a month to compete in tournaments. These tournaments consist of three games played against three different teams.
The first away game was on December 10th. They played Fort Frances, Dryden, and Atikokan. The boys defeated Fort Frances and to Atikokan, and lost to Dryden. They finished tied for first place with Dryden.
The girls beat Atikokan and Dryden, but lost to Fort Frances. They finished in second place.
The next curling tournament will be held in Atikokan on January 14th. If they finish in first place they will be going to NorWOSSA curling in Dryden on February 18th.
