Helen Madell, 81

Helen E. Madell passed away unexpectedly at her residence in Rainy River, Ont on Friday August 21, 2009. Helen was a longtime resident of Rainy River, Ont. She was born April 26, 1928. She was the daughter of Fred and Matilda (nee Podskalny) Madell.
Helen graduated from Rainy River High School. She furthered her education in Toronto, Ont. She earned a scholarship into a pilot program being offered by the Bell Telephone Company. Upon completion of the two year program she was hired by the company to work in the accounting department. She returned to Rainy River several years later to care for her mother.
Helen was predeceased by her parents, uncles Ivan Podskalny, of Windsor, Ont, Frank and Brownie Podskalny of Rainy River, Ont, William (Lillian) Podskalny also of Rainy River, Ont, and Nicholas Heuchert of Baudette, Mn.
Helen is survived by aunt Phyllis Heuchert of Baudette, Mn, cousins Janice Fleming, Michelle Fleming Stewart, Dean and Savanna Fleming Hansen all of Villa Park, Ca, Michael and Karen Fleming of Nibley, Utah.
