Area garden tour this Sunday

The North Star Garden Club of Baudette is pleased to host the second annual tour of Rainy River, Baudette, and rural Birchdale gardens on Sunday, July 22 from 1:30 - 5:00 pm.
Five local gardeners will be opening their gardens to the public. The tour sites are:
Rainy River: (Formal English Garden) - Elsie Ewald, Tower Road
Baudette: (Small Yard Landscaping) - Fern & John Lamberson, 114 5th Ave. NW
Rural Birchdale: (Three different country garden styles all located within one mile between mile marker 152 & 153), Jake & Vicki Blake (Terraced gardens), Jan & Dave Imes (Country style gardens, decks & other structures), Albert Henrickson Farm (Large vegetable garden, unique gazebo)
Each gardener will be on hand to share what they’ve done and to answer any questions.
This is a self-paced garden tour. Tour any or all five gardens at your leisure.
Refreshments will be provided at two locations. You’re bound to pick up several great ideas along the way, so bring your camera so you’ll have a record for planning your 2002 garden!
Tickets for the tour are $5. (U.S. funds) and can be purchased at Floral Expressions and Border State Bank in Baudette and will be available at any of the tour sites on day of tour. Ticket sale proceeds are designated for the Community Theater Fund in Baudette.
