RRCA elect new board of directors

A new slate of officers was elected by the Rainy River Cattlemen’s Association (RRCA) at their annual meeting in Stratton last Wednesday and this year there will be a new president.
Tom Morrish of Devlin, served the past two years as president and could not run for the board of directors again this year, having also served four consecutive years (two terms); the maximum allowed. He can run again after taking a year off.
About 30 members attended and all the positions from Zone A in the east to Zone D in the west were filled.
In Zone A Steve Loshaw and Arnie Hakula were acclaimed for two year terms. Peter Spuzak has one year left on his term there.
In Zone B Clayton Teeple was acclaimed to a two year term. Darrell Angus and Allen Jolicouer each have a year left in their terms.
In Zone C Rick Boersema was acclaimed to a two year term. He joins Mark Chjoko-Bolec and Glen Kuorikoski who have one year left.
In Zone D Archie Wiersema was acclaimed to a two year term. He joins Doug Hartnell who has one year left.
Tom Morrish agreed to be the Provincial Director for the Ontario Cattlemen’s Association.
A new president will be elected at the next meeting of the RRCA. The board elects the chair from within its ranks.
