Red Cross launches annual lottery

From the Red Cross

Buying a Red Cross lottery ticket for $40 can mean the chance of winning major prizes—and ensures humanitarian services are available in Ontario communities.
Proceeds from the ninth-annual Red Cross lottery support programs and services such as disaster preparedness and response, abuse prevention for children and youth, and home health care equipment rentals.
“This year, we have more prizes than ever,” said Shana Hansson, community services co-ordinator.
“Among the possibilities, winners can walk away with $250,000 in cash; a 2003 Cadillac Escalade worth over $92,000; or an $8,000 Hawaii-an cruise,” she noted.
The early bird closing date is June 2 and final closing date is June 16. The final draw date is June 26.
The Red Cross is selling only 120,000 tickets, with a package of three for $100. Tickets can be purchased by calling 1-800-850-5090.
The Canadian Red Cross Society is a non-profit, humanitarian organization dedicated to improving the situation of the most vulnerable in Ontario, Canada, and throughout the world.
