Stratton students to participate in YMCA youth exchange

Thirty students and five adults from Our Lady of the Way school will be taking part in a YMCA Youth Exchange Canada Program. During June 14 - 21 OLOW group will be guests at the Cando School in Saskatchewan and in turn OLOW will host Cando school from May 24 - May 31.
Transportation costs for this trip are covered by Exchanges Canada. Approximately 80 schools are involved.
YMCA Youth Exchanges Canada, funded through Government of Canada Exchanges Canada promotes cross-culture awareness and a sense of belonging among Canadian Youth ages twelve to eighteen. Since 1976, thousands of young people have experienced the cultural and geographic diversity of Canada through participation in YMCA Youth exchanges.

YMCA Youth Exchanges Canada is a program students see it, live it and love it, in exploring other regions of Canada, living in another Community meeting new people, learning Canada’s official language or simply exploring Canada’s cultural diversity.
YMCA Youth Exchanges Canada is for the Youth, it is a group reciprocal home-stay exchange program, it is intended for Canadians between the ages of eleven and eighteen who would like to experience the country, groups twinned with groups of youth the same age from another province or territory and take turns staying in each others homes.
