THOMAS EDWARD (TOM) KREGER AGE 54

It is with great sadness that the family of Tom announce his sudden passing
Tom was born on August 31, 1948 in Rainy River, Ontario where he lived all
of his life. As a young man he started logging and then worked as a plumber
for the Town of Rainy River.
In 1973 he started his career at the CNR. Tom was united in marriage to
Marie Storkson on August 12 1972. He loved to play baseball with the
Husky’s, spend time fishing and hunting and had participated in the Rainy
River Walleye Tournament every year. The most important thing to Tom was his
family. He was a good hearted man who was always trying to help others in
any way he could. He was especially proud of his children and grandchildren
and thought a lot of his nephew Dennis. He always looked forward to the
annual family fish fry and coffee with the boys at Quality Bakery.
Tom will be greatly missed by his wife Marie; daughters Dawn-Marie Kreger of
Devlin and Debbie and husband Jeremy Johnson of Rainy River, ON;
grandchildren Bailey, Skyler and Kasey Kreger - O’Neill; his mother Phyllis
Kreger of Rainy River, ON; brother Gary (Nibs) Kreger and wife Cheryl;
sisters Leona and husband Raymond King all of Rainy River, ON, Susie and
husband Jerry Bolen of Fort Frances, ON and Shirley and husband Jeff
Galloway of Stratford, ON; mother-in-law Theresa Sleeman of Rainy River;
sisters-in-law Eva Kreger of Steinbach, MB, Michelle Raine of Dryden, ON;
Alice Ivall of Fort Frances and Rita Wilson of Red Lake, ON;
brothers-in-laws Leo Storkson and wife Violet of Edmonton, AB, Robert
Storkson of Korea, Roger Storkson of Thunder Bay, ON, and Edward Storkson of
Mississauga, ON and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father Daniel Kreger; grandson Cody
Kreger-O’Neill, brothers Jim and Lynn Kreger and sister Dawn-Marie.
Funeral services were held on Thursday March 20, 2003 at 2 p.m. at Our Lady
of Good Counsel Church in Rainy River, Ontario and Pastor Pat White
officiating.
Interment will take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery at a later date.
The honourary pallbearers were Rick Peterson, Dennis Ivall, Randy Kreger,
Phillip (Chipper) Bourre, Clarence Advent, Doug Hartnell, Robert Ivall and
Leonard Bourre.
The active pallbearers were Scott Olson, Ken Kreger, Eugene Heyens, Harry
Sawchuk, Vaughn Murray and Mike Ivall.
