Legion Aux. donates $100 to Family Day activities

Legion Aux.

The local branch of the Legion Ladies Aux., held their monthly meeting on February 10th, 2010 with President Valerie Nelson presiding.
Minutes of the January meeting were read and accounts were presented and authorized for payment. Treasurer Donna Ivall read her report on the Auxiliary's finances.
Correspondence was read and dealt with accordingly. A letter was received from the Rainy River Public Library requesting a donation for the Family Fun Day that was held on Feb 15th. A motion to donate $100.00 to this was approved. A letter was received from the Dryden Aux. with the invitation to attend the District #7 Meeting to be held in Dryden on March 26th and 27th. Several members will attend. Committee members gave their reports and upcoming catering was discussed. The Aux. donated the use of the kitchen to the Chem Free Graduation committee for their Valentine Tea on Feb 13th.
The Installed Officers for the 2010 year are as follows: President - Valerie Nelson; 1st Vice - Evelyn Bourre; 2nd Vice - Beaty Nault; Treasurer - Donna Ivall; Secretary - Gladys Yeo; Sargent of Arms - Donna Ivall; Flag Bearers - Evelyn Bourre & Valerie Nelson; Past President - Verna Barsy; Membership - Evelyn Nelson; Entertainment - Audrey Meunier; Kitchen - Peggy Livingston & Audrey Meunier; Scholarship & Ways & Means - Beaty Nault; Sick & Visiting - Verna Barsy & Janet Schaff; Poppy & Veteran - Joanne Giles; & Publicity - Gladys Yeo.
Our next meeting will be March 10th.
