Plenty to do at RR Public Library this month

By Michael Dawber
Assistant Librarian

Our pre-school storytime, “All the Colors of the Rainbow,” wraps up Friday, March 19 with crafts and stories about color.
We will build a flying rainbow and find out about a green sheep!
Children up to age six are welcome to join us with a parent or caregiver.
The program is free and starts at 11:00 a.m.
Don’t forget: the library is now open Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
We are also open Tuesday and Thursday from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The library is closed Sunday and Monday.
If some vacation reading is in store for your March Break, check out our great selection of new titles.
Our latest arrivals include Precious by Sapphire, The Children’s Book by A.S. Byatt, Smash Cut by Sandra Brown, and I Alex Cross by James Patterson.
If history’s more your style, we have just received the new centennial history of the Town of Dryden.
New in the kid’s corner are Small Town Glory, the story of Kenora’s 1907 Stanley-Cup-winning hockey team, and four colourful titles about Canada by Per-Henrik Gurth.
Teens will enjoy Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins and Starclimber by Kenneth Oppel.
And readers of all ages can check us out on-line, 24 hours a day. Just go to rainyriver.jasinorth.ca.
