Hosp. Aux. to hold rock-a-thon again at this year's trade show
By Irene Hanson
We opened our March meeting with fourteen members reading the auxiliary prayer, followed with Jessie Bodnarchuk reading the minutes of the last meeting.
Business from the minutes; our rock-a-thon at the Trade Fair on April 24th is a go, with 6 rockers volunteering so far. More will likely volunteer, and pledge sheets are available.
The money will go towards installing the walk-in bath tub for the acute care unit. Also about 20 emergency bags are made up to give out when needed. The two Valentine parties were a success and enjoyed by all. The tickets for our 50/50 draw were passed out to members to sell, and they are also available at many businesses in the area. This will be drawn at our Strawberry Social on May 5th at the Legion.
The only Correspondence was a letter from the High School Grad Class, requesting support for the Chem Free Party. As in the past we will support this and a donation was given.
New Business: We will cater a St. Patricks Party at both the Station and the Activity room in the hospital for the long term patients.
We are also looking for plants for the sale table at our Strawberry Social. If you have some contact Jessie Bodnarchuk.
The special committees gave their reports and the meeting was adjourned.
Our meetings will now be the first Tuesday of the month, so the next one is April 6th, at 1:30 at the hospital.
