TARAS (Terry) KUCHMA
Terry passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 7, 2010 at the Rainy River Health Centre. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Millie of 33 years, stepdaughter Elsie (Doug) Rosler, aunts Anne Serafin and Lena Tesarsky, sister-in-laws Olga Kuchma, Stella Kuchma and Eleanor Kuchma as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Terry was born October 1, 1926 in Stuartburn, Manitoba and moved to Rainy River in 1950. He farmed with his mother and worked on the CNR, working his way to an engineer retiring in 1987. He enjoyed the outdoors especially going fishing. He was predeceased by his mother Helen in 1974, brothers Peter, Bill, Roman, Donald, Morris and Nick. Prayers will be offered at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Rainy River on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 7 p.m. with Deacon George Chojko-Bolec officiating. A funeral mass will be celebrated by Father Alan Albao on Wedn-esday, March 10, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Rainy River, Ontario followed by interment at Forest Lawn cemetery in Rainy River. The pallbearers will be Roman Kuchma, Bob Kuchma, Bill Marmus, Dennis Olinyk, Phil Larocque and Steve Yeryk.
