Eight rockers to take part in RR Trade Show

Fifteen members came to our regular April meeting and we opened with all reciting the auxiliary prayer, followed by Carolee reading the minutes of the last meeting.
In business from the minutes, we now have eight rockers taking part at the Trade Show. If you haven't made a pledge yet, it can be done at our booth at the show. Money to go toward our bath tubs project for the hospital. Also there are eight members going to the joint east-west auxiliary conference at Thunder Bay, Apr 9th & 10th, each paying $50.00 toward the expense of this trip.
Both St. Patricks parties, one at the station and one in long term care were a success and enjoyed by all.
Correspondence included a letter asking us to do Meals on Wheels in May. We will do this, and the volunteers are 3-7 Larry & Myrna Armstrong, 10-14 Jessie Bodnarchuk & Pat Acree, 17-21 Joyce Penner & Irene Hanson, 24-28 Jeanette Armstrong & Betty Blight. A news letter from the Fort Frances Auxiliary was passed around; and a request for a member from our auxiliary to sit on the hospital board. There was no one at the meeting willing, however we hope to have a representative by April 30th.
Dawn Jarvis, our treasurer gave the financial report. New business: It was reported that a new bath tub is needed in the long term wing of the hospital as well as installation of the walk-in tub previously noted. With some discussion, it was decided we would donate $10,000 towards the Bath tubs project.
April is usually our Installation of new officers, however with all we have going on in April and May, it was decided we will do this June the 1st, at our Luncheon meeting. The committee will let you know where, and the cost is $10.00. Leave at the Bake Shop by May 25th.
The final item was the Strawberry Social on May 5th at the Legion, from 2 - 4 p.m. There will be a penny table, plants, in door draws, etc. The cost is $3.00. Penny table items are needed and can be left at the Hogue Residence, 303 3rd St. Please have them there by April 30, and also state the cost of the item. If you can't get there for this time contact Dawn Jarvis, 852-3952 and give the name of the item and cost, then bring to the Legion Tuesday, morning the 4th, we will be setting up, starting at 10 o'clock.
