The countdown is on! Only four days until the fifth annual Rainy River and District Chamber of Commerce Trade Show!
Rainy River Economic Development Officer Andrew Hartnell has been busy this past week tying up all the loose ends for the event which promises to top last year’s where nearly 600 people attended.
As of Monday morning there 53 exhibitors signed up using 56 booths. “We have a full house on the arena floor!” said Hartnell last Thursday.
As in years past the arena floor will feature many interesting exhibitors. New this year are Flipped Pages used book store, Color hair and makeup, Baskets Galore, Cyntech Solar, Rainy River Legion, Relay for Life, Mary Kay/Total She/Roadside, as well as different arts and crafts vendors.

There will also be Golf for all age groups from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8. Kids can register at the FunZone (just east of the RR Arena) at 12:45 p.m. or via email at rainyriverrec@tbaytell.net or calling 852-4446. There is no charge for the FunZone activities.
The trade show doors open at 10 a.m. and it will run until 4 p.m. There is a $2 admission charge and kids 5 and under are free. A door prize of $300 in Rainy River Chamber Bucks will be drawn for when the event is over and Hartnell said most if not all the booths will have draws for various door prizes.
“This is a good opportunity for area businesses to show what they have to offer and for the public to see that first hand!” concluded Hartnell.
