The Pioneer Museum has several exciting new projects planned for the year. The museum is open Monday to Thursday 9 AM to 5 PM. They are planning a Spring Tea with soup and sandwiches on Friday May 21st at the United Church in Emo, a pie social July 16th and a 1970’s themed fair booth in August. Sheri Stamarski is requesting to booth 1790’s memorabilia for the booth. Nancy Miller made a motion and Chris Karpenter seconded to send the museum our annual donation with the possibility to send a larger amount after the Morson bass tournament. The group will be running a food booth, serving an angler’s supper and a silent auction with shared proceeds to the tournament.
The Women’s Institutes of Rainy River and guests are invited to attend the annual event being held on Wednesday, May 12th at the Stratton Senior Centre. Roll call will include any old fashioned remedies to be shared with those present. Several members from Morson will be attending.
