Legion Ladies to present scholarship

The Rainy River Branch of the Ladies Auxiliary held their monthly meeting on June 9th. President Valerie Nelson presided with 16 members present. Prior to the meeting a delicious pot luck supper was enjoyed. Minutes of the May meeting were read and approved. Treasurer Donna Ivall gave the report on the auxiliary finances.
Correspondence was read and dealt with accordingly. A motion was made and passed to donate money to Riverview School student Nolan Short to attend the Legion Athletic Camp this summer.

The annual Scholarship applications were reviewed. Evelyn Bourre volunteered to present the Aux. Scholarship at the High School Graduation ceremony. A hamper for Father Day will be raffled off. Tickets are now available at the Legion. The Ladies have had a busy year of catering and doing the Wednesday meat draws. They will be doing a lunch of smokies and perogies on July 17th for Railroad Daze.
President Valerie wished everyone a happy summer, and we will meet again in September.
