Library offers free summer programs

By Michael Dawber
Assist. Librarian

Kids and parents can enjoy free programs all summer long at the Rainy River Public Library!
Our program – Destination Jungle – starts Tuesday, July 6, at 2:30 p.m.
Our summer program leader, Alyssa, will be taking children ages six and up on a jungle adventure.
You can read about iguanas, hear about a toucan and see a Venus Fly Trap!
We will have stories, games and crafts each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 2:30 p.m. until the end of August. Each program will run about an hour.
For younger readers, Alyssa and assistant librarian Michael Dawber will also be running a storytime program starting Saturday, July 10.
Our storytimes will run about 30 minutes, and will be for caregivers and children under age six.
We will read great stories like My Four Lions by Bernie Gold, King and King and Family by Linda de Hahn and Hello, Baby! by Mem Fox.
We will also do a craft to go along with our stories.
Best of all: our programs are totally free!
Just call the library at 807.852.3375 to let us know you will be attending.
You do not need to attend every program – you can enjoy any program.
On your next visit to the library, also be sure to check out our great new selection of books and DVDs.
New DVDs at the library include Alice in Wonderland (starring Johnny Depp), Prince Caspian, Twilight, Milk, and Walking with Monsters: Life Before Dinosaurs.
We look forward to seeing you again soon!
