Last year, I launched my boat on April 13th and was able to get to my cabin on Rainy Lake on April 16th!

Last week the 2013-14 federal budget document was presented to parliament. I was not impressed by the budget, and while my staff and I are still studying the document we have already found many items that will hurt families and businesses and that we will oppose. Let me highlight some of them here.

Surely everyone knows these friendly little squirrels with their stripped backs and winning ways.

Since being elected, one of the most common concerns I have heard from people from across the riding is the high price of auto insurance.

I have a pink tie. I have a pink dress shirt. I’ll be wearing them on April 10. It is Pink Day. It is “the International day against bullying”, discrimination, homophobia and transphobia in schools and communities across our country.

It began as a simple gesture at Central Kings High School in Cambridge, Nova Scotia. A freshman student wore a pink polo shirt to school on his first day of class. School bullies verbally abused him for his choice of colours.
