A lot of wildfowl migrate through this area of Canada, several species of geese and many ducks. The smallest ducks we have are the teals.

Auditor General Michael Ferguson tabled a scathing report in Parliament this week that said the Harper Conservatives did not conduct an open and fair selection process for replacing the aging F-18 fighters, that the government did not know how much the F-35 would cost when it was selected as the replacement, and that the Harper Government and the Department of National Defence have deliberately misled parliament and the Canadian people about the cost of the project.

There is some thought today that computers, smart phones, IPods, and IPads have isolated individuals who never seem to have to talk with each other anymore. There are now more cell phones in the world than there have ever been landlines. In some households, the landlines have disappeared and all that remains are the cell phones for each member of the home.
