There is no other crop with such a wide range of management as forages. Some farmers apply high rates of fertilizer to push for maximum yields. Others treat forages as the “poor sibling” in the rotation, making do on whatever fertility is left over from the other crops.

Forage harvest has started in some parts of the district with some reports of slightly reduced yields. Forages in the area are about a week to a week and a half behind normal depending upon the amount of rainfall received, which has been quite variable.
