Dream come true!

Labour Day Champs!

Cruz Control won the Rainy River Labour Day Classic on Sunday when they beat Stratton 5-4 in extra innings! There were six teams vying for the title. Rodeo comes to Rainy River!

The Best Start Hub, Northwestern Health Unit, Ontario Provincial Police and Canadian Tire partnered to host a Bicycle Rodeo in Rainy River Friday morning. Twelve kids participated and learned bicycle safety, what equipment to wear and proper turn and stop signals. Home damaged by fire

Dawson and Rainy River Fire Departments worked in tandem on Wednesday afternoon to save Al and Jane Mintenko's Little St. home. While they saved the structure, the home was heavily smoke and water damaged. The cause is believed to be electrical and started at the front of the house.

Barry Lamoureux, left, and Deb Whetzel won the Men's and Women's titles respectively at this year's Rainy River Open Golf Tournament. It was held on Sunday at Oak Harbour Golf Course in Baudette.

Lord Stanley's Cup visits area

Stanley Cup Champ, and Chicago Blackhawks defenseman, Duncan Keith, brought the Stanley Cup back to Fort Frances this past Saturday, where he played much of his minor hockey.

Site preparation

The site for the Rainy River Sk8 Park is currently being prepared for the pouring of a concrete base adjacent to the tennis courts and arena. If all goes well it may be open for usage before school starts.
