Our New Year has dawned as the great white north. Fifteen inches of drifting snow has turned our world into a white winter land. Waking on Monday, the CBC announcer let all of Ontario know that Fort Frances was the desperately cold spot of the province.

This past week in Ottawa went by with a flurry as the fall session of Parliament for 2010 wrapped up. 2010 has been a busy year and I was quite please with some of the work I was able to undertake. Here is a quick review of some of that work.

Our family has honed our Christmas customs. The traditions have remained almost constant for over 30 years and many stem back to my Scottish and English ancestrry. Christmas supper will see anywhere from fourteen to eighteen family and friends gathered around my mother’s dining room table.
