In the wake of the disaster in Haiti, the students of Riverview School have been working on doing their part in helping the people of Haiti.

Earth Day Canada is looking to reward graduating high school students with one of twenty $5 000 post-secondary scholarships. To date, the national environmental charity has doled out $500 000 to 100 students through the Toyota Earth Day Scholarship Program. As the 2010 application deadline (February 28) approaches, Earth Day Canada is encouraging local high school students to access a new batch of $5 000 scholarships.
