Howard Hampton, the Member of Provincial Parliament for Kenora-Rainy River, and John Rafferty, the Member of Parliament for Thunder Bay-Rainy River, will be teaming up March 12, to host an online town-hall to discuss the proposed Provincial/FederalHarmonized Sales Tax (HST).
Over the past few months both Hampton and Rafferty have spent a great deal of time working to raise awareness of the proposed tax and its potential impact in Northwestern Ontario, which both agree will be have an extremely negative impact on families, small businesses, seniors and first nations communities.

With the revelation that one of the members of the Sioux Lookout Girls curling team was too young to be playing at the high school level, the bronze medal Rainy River High School girls will now get to go to NWOSSAs along with the RRHS boys team.
Sioux Lookout was disqualified which meant the silver medal at NORWOSSAs now goes to the RRHS girls.
Since the top two teams advance to NWOSSAs they will now join their school mates at NWOSSAs later this week in Thunder Bay!.
Good luck to both teams.
