Fair Queen Crowned!

Ashlee Nordstrom, sponsored by M.L. Judson, was crowned Emo Fair Queen for 2008 yesterday evening upstairs at the arena. Lauren Davis (Harold McQuaker Ent.), left, was chosen as 2nd Princess while Dana Drennan (Emo Dental Clinic) was named 1st Princess. Miss Congeniality was Janel Barker (Tim Hortons). Nordstrom also received the Dorothy Bonot Award for her hard work and dedication over the past few weeks.

Citizen of the Year!

Rainy River Town Council named Terry Cooper 2008 Citizen of the Year, Monday evening, in recognition of all the care he gives to Main St. and Station flowers and trees. The certificate praised all his "Outstanding contributions to the Town of Rainy River."
