Alzheimer Ride for the Memories participant, Larry Morden of MacKenzie Island in the Ride for Memories was taking no chances about not finding his way back home from RR, bringing along his four-legged GPS named Blue.Morden’s bike an unusual sight in Canada is a Russian built 2007 Ural, a copy of a German WW II military bike.

About 75 of the bikes that participated in the Alzheimer Ride for Memories ponied up and rode as a group down Rainy River's Main St. and through town before departing for Dryden on Saturday.

RRDFL Champs!

Barwick's Blue Knights remained undefeated in Rainy River District Fastball League play last night when they defeated Rainy River's Royals 7-3 in the playoff finals. Above, on the August Long Weekend, 66 relatives of Geraldine Smart joined together in Rainy River for a weekend full of fun,festivities and feast. Relatives travelled from as far away as Whitehorse, NWT.
