John Deer Boating!

Ayla and Andy Holmes introduced a new product line for John Deere at the boat races. The normally farm/land equipment producer would have been proud of the job these two did. While they did not win their heat, Paul and Justin Dennison won (above the John Deere entry) for time but Alya and Andy received Best Theme Boat honours.

Most Spectacular Sinking!

Kelly and Sarah Berg “Frank’s Chicks” did not make it very far out of the gate at the 5th Annual Great Beaver Duct Tape Boat Races Sunday. But they did win the award for most spectacular sinking!

Harry Potter was personally handing out the newly released copies of his new book at 12:01 a.m. Saturday. They were delivered in style by Dorion Ozie on his motorcycle in a pirate’s treasure chest.

Memorial Gun

Legion Exec. member Lance Lindal, MP Ken Boshcoff and Legion President Gerry Marchuk posed in front of the newly acquired decomissioned howitzer. Through their efforts the retired gun will be placed as a memorial to veterans in front of the Rainy River Legion cenotaph.
