Sheldon Olson of Stratton, ON and fishing buddy Donald "Bing" Bisel of Long Prairie, MN rencently had a very successful fishing outing on Lake of the Woods , landing these trophy 11 and 10 pound walleyes.

Sharon Parsons, left, of Bergland, was named the Bergland 2007 Chili Champ on Sunday at the Fourth Annual Bergland Family Fun Day. There were nine entries in the Chili Cook-off, which was sponsored by the Lake of the Woods Women’s Institute.

Toddler, Kaylee Hasiuk of Stratton, ON is learning to enjoy swimming. She is enrolled in the Lake of the Woods Parent/Tot class in Baudette, MN with her mom Joanna. The purpose of this class is for parents and children to become comfortable in the water.
