The swimming areas in and around Hannam Park and the Marina were posted with signs telling people not to swim there due to high bacterial counts last week. They remained closed as of Monday.

Sandra Ottertail of Rainy River with her new found friends in Guatemala. Ottertail was one of eight area residents who chose to spend a ‘vacation’ offering a hand up to provide housing and deliver aid to the poorest of the poor in that country.

The annual Pequana Playhouse children’s production, in Baudette, MN., was held over the weekend and this year they did Alice in Wonderland. There were thirteen children from Rainy River in the production.
