It is with heartfelt sorrow that the family of William T. (Bill) Matthew announce his passing on October 18, 2005, at home, as he wished.
Bill was born in Rainy River on January 5, 1932. He was united in marriage to Bernice Acthim in 1954.

Thea Sinninghe, 75

Thea Sinninghe of Rainy River, Ont., passed away Saturday, September 17, 2005 at the Thunder Bay Regional Hospital.
She was born on December 21, 1929 in the Netherlands to Jan and Frouk Wiersema. She was the third oldest of 16 children, with 10 brothers and five sisters.

will now collect her wings. She did her lifelong job of being a wife, mother, and friend with pride, conviction, honesty and love.

Doreen Hogan Desrochers

With mixed emotions, the family of Doreen Hogan announces her passing on August 4, 2005. The sadness of our loss is tempered by the knowledge her suffering has ended. Her impish smile shone through to brighten many a dark day in her struggle with cancer. Doreen peacefully left home surrounded by all her beloved children. She leaves behind Louise (Benoit and children Gabriel and Vicki), John, Jacques, Marc, and Michel (Angela). All her children share the beauty of her blue eyes, as first observed by her sister Monica at Doreen's birth, as well as her quiet dedication to those around.

Walter Peters, 95

A much loved father and grandfather Walter Peters, of Rainy River, ON passed away on Monday July 25, 2005 at the Rainy River Health Center.
Walter was born on February 5, 1910 in Rainy River, Ontario to Carl and Anna Peters. The family moved to Blue Township while he was just an infant. He resided there until moving back to Rainy River in recent years due to health problems.

Lawrence Gibbins (Pugonayonquop), 70

Lawrence Gibbins, age 70, of Big Island First Nation, ON, passed away on Tuesday July 26, 2005 at the Lake Of The Woods Hospital in Kenora, ON.
He was born on May 3, 1935 in Morson, Ontario to Alexander and Katie Gibbins.

Carl Emil Curtis, 79

Carl Emil Curtis was born to Jon E. and Ingeborg (Gausen) Curtis on October 19, 1925 at Baudette, Minnesota. He grew up in Baudette, was baptized on March 30, 1926 by Rev. Jacobson and confirmed by Rev. Aasen on April 2, 1939 both at First Lutheran.

Charles Jasper (Jack) Acree, 83

Charles (Jack) Acree passed away July 7, 2005 at Grace Hospital in Winnipeg, MB surrounded by his loving family.
